Thanks for the info. The train times are convenient to me both on the outbound and return. In fact, the return is more convenient because I live outside of Philadelphia and the train stops two blocks away from my house.

I live on the otherside of the city then the airport. To access the airport via regional rail takes about 1-1.5 hours, 1-1.5 hours for check-in, 1 hour in the air, .5 hour waiting for baggage, and .5-1.0 to get into the city. So all in all it would take me about 5 hours from door to door, plus PHL is notorious for delays. The train would take me about 7.5 hours door to door on the way out (have to leave from 30th St after work) and 7 hours on the return because it stops right next to where I live.

The train fare is a little cheaper. It is $81 roundtrip with AAA discount whereas most flights are ringing up about $130 roundtrip for some unfriendly flight times. So, cost wise, it is a little cheaper to take the train and the times are slightly better.

If the train is reliable and close to on time I would prefer to try it out. But, I hear the Pennsylvanian takes some horrible delays on some days. If that is the case I would rather pay the extra $50 and take my chances in the air. But, if not I would seriously consider the train.

Thanks!
