But what's the etiquette for correcting another person's
diction?

wha's "diction?..."

Ok ya got me. EVeryone's got everyone. Good, fine then, now back to topic, somewhat. You guys seem to know something of the way of checks, cash, cards and transactions, so in these two CHECKS I mailed to pay off an AMEX card, why are they coded differently if they were both checks paid from the same account to the same AMEX card? (I had to mail checks for reasons of my own, but normally I do things online)
Here are the transactions--both paid by checks but coded differently:
08/18/2007 PAYMENT RECEIVED ACH - THANK YOU 08/18
-2,750.00
08/15/2007 CHECKS ON-LINE SLC UT MISC/SPECIALTY
- 2,705.00
Could it be because they are processed at different centers or something? I am curious.
thanks. MM
