Despite the many moose on the island, I saw none on my 10-day visit in Sept. 2002.

Apparently the best way to see one is to drive really fast at night on the roads.

I also took the ferry over to Labrador, and visited the Red Bay National Historic Site, where vessels of Basque fisherman have been restored from the 1500s.
