Just having trouble understanding the layout

I have checked luggage, arriving 1 am (NW), would like to pick up my luggage and NOT clear customs/immigration so I can stay airside - Is that possible?

alternatively can I just "forget" about my luggage and somehow claim it the next morning and then clear customs and immigration?
