I'm typing this on my E61i which is a similar phone from a software/os point of view.

I would say the e-series phones are Nokia's fastest Symbian devices - if not the fastest Symbian devices on the market. However, keep in mind that these devices are not BlackBerry-fast, although I find them to be faster than their Wondows Mobile-counterparts.

Based on your requirements, I think the E65 is a good choice.
