The property wants my points, and $100 to $150/night extra, or points (130k for a week) plus 5k to 15k points PER NIGHT on top of the 130k.

What gives? The booking rate at this hotel is only $269/night (cheap for a hawaii property, the Maui resort is going for over $400/night).

None of the others charge anywhere near $100 to $150 EXTRA per night. Even the JW at Ko'Olina (arguably the best Marriott property in the islands), only charges $50/night extra.

Can someone explain the logic to me why I'd have to pay $100 to $150 PLUS my points???
