I was hoping to get some feedback on my upcoming trip to Monte Carlo (August 26-31). I am torn between Hotel de Paris or the Hotel Hermitage. It appears that the Hermitage has recently completed renovations, however I'm unclear as to what Hotel de Paris' status is. I was quoted a rate of approx. 450 EUR per night at Hotel de Paris and approx. 515 EUR per night at Hermitage through the respective hotels directly. Oddly, I have had no success getting rates via Amex FHR program. Has anybody else been able to book through FHR?

Anyway, if anybody has any input on these properties, particularly whether the Hermitage is worth the additional 65 EUR per night, or where I may find a better rate, I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you in advance...
