Add me to the list of dissatisfied MCI customers... I was with them not once but TWICE, and as they say, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." I was lured by the miles, but will respectfully pass from now on.
May I suggest one of the hotel partnerships with AT&T instead, like with Marriott Rewards? I have had AT&T forever (excluding my little side-trips to MCI which lasted only a couple months), and while you can say what you might about them, they DO get things done quickly.
