WN has publicly indicated that it is exploring North America destinations outside the U.S. but has said that its systems currently lack the capability to handle international travel. It has also suggested that international expansion may come through its stake in ATA.
WN is moving to assigned seatings and should announce the program this year. It's investing in its computer systems and the carrier itself, or through a codeshare arrangement, would be able to offer flights to Mexico and/or Canada within three years.
