Appreciate the replies and fair warning for next time.

Assuming this flight takes off on time then, is it just a 'slow' cruise across when the winds are high in order to land at the allocated time, given that we left an hour late and could have landed on schedule?
Is it in UA's interests somehow to land after 6am, ie do they have an allocation of pre 6am slots that doing this would 'save' one slot?
