It's because I'm only there for four days (28/10 to 31/10). If I stay a couple of days longer I can get the pricing to which you refer. Alas I can't stay longer as I'm flying to DFW (which is horribly expensive!) that coming weekend.

Luckily I'm not picking up the tab either personally or through my precious dept travel budget!

From the feedback given, I'll take BA over EK.
