If you're not interested in Como (city) but u want a relaxed stay on the lake, u can also consider these little cities:
- bellagio
- Cernobbio
and on the east-side of the lake (Lecco-Side)
- Varenna
- Abbadia Lariana
- Mandello del Lario
probably on the west side you could find something interesting close to Menaggio.
