I've got a business trip coming up to Dubai to speak at a conference. The organisers have agreed to pay for business class tickets.

Leaving aside for one second the TPs/Miles benefits of BA, purely based on quality of the service, would FTers recommend BA or Emirates?

Although it's not relevant to this trip (I'm not paying and it doesn't come out of my department travel budget!), I note that BA (at £2,423.30 for non-flexible and £2,950.30 for flexible) is considerably more expensive than Emirates (£1,270.10 is the published price; I assume it's reasonably flexible). In fact, Emirates' F is only £2,345.10!

Also, I note there is no award availability for the entire October / November period... I guess this is a popular route!
