Have searched the forums but haven't found any recent info on this.

Wife and I are transiting at SFO for a good 9 hours after arriving from Auckland (en route to Toronto). Will be traveling with a 6-month-old.

We're looking at getting some rest at the Travelodge, which is 2 miles away, but not entirely clear whether a taxi will take us without a car seat for the little one.

Has anyone recently done this? We're not brining a car seat because we'll have one waiting for us in Toronto.
