Hi All,

it looks like that LH staff do interpret the new check-in deadlines at the Quck Checkin kiosks in Germany (valid as of 2007-03-25) not in a consistence way.

What is your experience / knowledge / understanding for the check-in deadline for a person meeting the following conditions:
- travelling from a major German airport like FRA / MUC / DUS / HAM / TXL
- travelling in Economy
- using the Quick check-in machine
- with etix
- with cabine bagguage only
- not checked-in by phone, text message, fax, mobile, online etc.

Some say 30, some say 40 minutes before scheduled departure time.

People saying it is 30 argue:
a) Printed timetable says for the airports mentioned above F/C/QCKI 30, M 40.
Explaining F/C/M/QCKI as First/Business/Economy/Quick Check-in machine
- not stating a requirement than one has to be checked-in already in order to meet the Quick Check-in machine deadline.
b) Newspaper articles and obviously LH releases (e.g., see http://www.travset.de/pubs/61.pdf) writing:
- 40 Minutes for Economy at the COUNTER
- 30 Minutes for First and Business at the counter; independent from the class mobile services used and Quick Check-in machine.
Unfortunately I cannot find any "official" LH press release.

People saying it is 40 argue:
a) 30 Minutes only, if checked-in already
b) http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...nodeid=1649285
lists 30 Minutes only for Web / WAP / text message / telephone check-in.

Who has the definitive answer??

Best regards
Lars
