We were flying via CLT to AUA recently, and were denied entry to the Club even though I had Star Alliance Gold card from United and was travelling on US Air onto international destination (AUA). The matron went searching for her manager, who came and let us in, but the matron was trying to save face saying it is "to be our guests". Then we went on to our gate, and just to make sure that they were not letting us in due their policy I tried entering another US Air CLub, the matrons announced that if your status is with US or UA, then you need to be flying to "London, or Paris" not the Caribbean. Wonder, where to take this complaint and whether such stupidities are only typical to CLT as opposed to PHL for example. The matrons did not argue that AUA is not a US-territory, by the way, also United welcomed us to RCC at ORD before flying to CLT without a problem.
