You'll need 35,000 status miles to hit FTL. You might want to look at a weekend of flying in SWISS Business Class around Europe. My wife is doing that this weekend and earning 23,750 miles. Alternatively, you could book a trip to LAX via FRA on Lufthansa in B class for a similar number of miles. Combine that with an out-and-back to Asia (Singapore on SQ) or West Coast US (LA on UA or LH) and you'll clear the necessary miles. (This assumes that you're based in Europe - adjust accordingly from elsewhere).
