I'm finding it harder and harder to get moderate prices on the Strip. I like the shoulder season in Vegas (April / Sept / Oct). Used to get Bellagio for 200 or so. I'm bringing down some friends the weekend of Sept 21st and the prices are ridiculous. Supply of rooms is going up like crazy ... Guess demand is rising faster?
The 16th of September is Mexican Independence Day. I know there is a big fight on the 15th @ MGM...but I've seen others saying that there is a lot of people will stay over the next week as it's more like a week long holiday in Mexico. I haven't been able to confirm this but that's the only thing of any significance driving up rates the following week.
Well that...and you can't find weekend rates below $200 at any of the 4* and up properties in Vegas anymore!
