I'm flying CLE EWR 03 Sept late afternoon (Labor day) and the flight appears from the seat map to be sold out (I realise seat maps aren't conclusive but don't have access to inventory so it's a best guess).
As of today, no it doesn't look good for a bump but you can check
www.seatcounter.com as it gets closer. I can tell you that I have gotten bumped out of CLE twice in the last two weeks. Good luck.
