Personally I think that VOIP will not be a factor since it will not work too well after more than a few people connect to Skype.
All that means is that people will yell louder. It's the same effect as when people start getting cell phone dropouts. We'll have dozens of people all yelling "Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now?"
