i think the point jplux is trying to make is that ALL the villas would be more like the top Aman villas, with live-in staff, etc, in addition to the general resort staff. while management of the island would require a few key people, probably drawn more from the Certified Household Manager crowd than the hotel industry, being a standalone property really cuts down on typical hotel management issues/staff requirements.
OTOH i dont recall having read real reviews/trip reports of exclusive-use private islands like Necker.
You are right on the money. It's quite a challenge to decide exactly how this will work seeing that there is such a large area to cover.
