i would not see any need to have RC/FS personnel.. while we can't compare their business service to Aman's resort service, their resort service doesn't compare to Aman's. and we're talking about a resort here.
Do you think that FS or RC or MO couldnt deliver an Aman experience if they felt it was in their business interests to do so? How far away is FS tented camp from such an experience? RC has countless success stories of building customer service reputations of places like Boston Market....they could easily achieve that level of service if they thought it served their business interests IMO.
I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud here...I'm just still concerned about how a 5*+ resort can be built from the ground up in a short or medium period of time (unless the OP is holding out on us re: luxury service mgt/development experience).
Daniel Boulud can't open a restaurant, go for 3 Michelin stars and actually get them quickly. It takes him and his team a long time to perfect the service style...and he has been in his business for decades.
Issy Sharpe ran a motor inn, then the FS YYZ, then a Hilton, then other hotels...until he truly learned of his cusotmers' service needs and,
most importantly to the OP, how to build a structure that delivers in fulfilling those needs night in and night out.
Vilazzo's model is to act as property manager on behalf of owners of homes who are required to make it available for rental for a certain portion of the year, including some peak times. Maybe there is some room there for partnership, but it may be a stretch as they are not in the resort business per se.
P.S. and blatantly OT: This is my first night not in a luxury hotel in 20+ days. It feels good to be home even if it is only for one night!
