Just remember that the PP card benefits (unlike the AMEX Platinum card travel insurance) are NOT a replacement for proper travel insurance! E.g. it only covers a very limited set of events, mainly related to the flights. And the global assist is exactly that - they will assist with arrangements, but will not cover e.g. medical expenses.
