I just flew CDG-ATL-SAN yesterday. I don't fly internationally very much, and I thought the two hour layover in ATL seemed long. I was wrong. The flight was 30 minutes late into ATL, the bags took forever to arrive, we dashed through security, etc., rechecked bags around 45 minutes prior to our flight, took the train to a different concourse, and finally dashed up to the gate less than 30 minutes before our flight. We got on ok, but the bags didn't make it. I hope they'll deliver them this morning. So from my point of view, 90 minutes isn't enough.
I fly internationally through ATL several times per year - connecting TO an international flight in two hours is easy, but connection FROM an international to another connection is taking a great risk of missing the connection.
