Making negative changes, let alone major ones, with zero advance notice is a sure way to destroy any loyalty program. Even if Radisson does reconsider its rumored betrayal of members who had enough faith in Radisson to park Goldpoints rather than transferring them into miles in January, how can we trust a company that would even consider such an action? (As of this morning, the CSRs don't know what the redemption rate will be tomorrow!)
I was probably the biggest defender of Goldpoints during the Valuemags debacle, but there is an ocean of difference between incompetence and dishonesty. Fortunately for us, the Radisson folks are even less competent when dishonest than when they were honest.
