Air China's business class seats are pretty good. Flat with a resonable angle. I have flown the 747 several times but not any 777s (code share with UA?). Seatexpert and Seatguru's website is wrong on CA's 747 (as is CA's own website!). Business class is upstairs (six rows of four) and in the nose with 1st behind. Avoid the middle seats downstairs (row 4 E and G, I think). Row 1 is the best IMO. The exit row upstairs has excellent leg space. The only problem with upstairs is that the crew rest is in the front of the cabin and their is alot of traffic.

Food is OK but not great. Out of PEK is better than the return as it appears they bring their own rather than cater out of the US.

AVOD is a nice system that only works about 50% of the time. My experience is that when it does work, the movies are very old. Bring your own entertainment!

Air and ground crews on Air China are generally pretty good. My only advice is not to take any BS from the PEK people. A couple of times they seemed to want to get some more $$ from me by telling me that my reservation was lost or I was booked on standby. Just stand your ground and they seem to give up.

Enjoy!!
