There aren't enough CSA's. I have a good idea as to why, but the bottom line is that there aren't enough people available to staff all the positions as well as we would all like.
I'm glad to see that some of the AS employees in ANC realize this, too. ANC staffing (or the lack thereof) is brought up routinely at MVPG lunches, and nothing is ever done about it. Personally, I'm baffled as to why they would continually understaff what is probably their second most important hub city, behind Seattle. And not only is ANC an important cog in their network, it's the gateway for a huge amount of travellers either coming to or leaving the state of Alaska. You'd think AS would want to make a good impression.
