I've had about 50 stays this year as well at Starwood properties but have only had this happen to me once -- at the Meridien Piccadilly. Overall, though, I found the service lacking at that hotel. It was irritating because I checked out before the bill had been put under my door and they did not give me the statement until after I'd given them my credit card and signed the credit card receipt. I noticed about 5 minutes later when I went through the statement and then had to go back to the front desk and have them change it. To be fair, I did use the minibar but was charged for extra items.
