Hi everyone,

On our last trip to Vegas (2002) I think we were screwed by the cab driver-he took the freeway to Ballys from the airport and it cost about $17-$18.

I suspected that he had taken us the long way as I'd looked at a map of where our hotel was-but this was our 1st time in Vegas so I was a little unsure.

This time we're staying at MGM. Do I need to tell the driver not to take the freeway/tunnel or is this just plain obvious.

The last thing I need after a 10 hour flight is to have to deal with a cab driver with a bad attitude (I got into a huge argument with a Miami cab driver last year but thats another story).

I don't mind tipping but just hate bieng taken for a ride (except in a cab).
