I have a couple. One is a U3 smartdrive made by Sandisk (Staples). I think the main difference in U3 drives from different makers is the software that comes on them. Mine came with "CruzerSynch" included, which will synchronize Outlook plus any documents, etc..It is password protected. You can also password protect the whole drive. U3 is pretty slick. Some cheaper drives give you sample versions of software, but this one gives you the full CruzerSynch (costs about 40.00 normally).
