Why I love it? It's quite a lot faster than my E61i , the audio quality is lightyears better (The E61 was fine, the E90 was fine. My E61i? It blew, and I even took it in to Nokia while in HKG to have it looked at! They replaced the earpiece but no improvement.) and the built in GPS/Nav functionality is good enough that I no longer need to lug another device around.

The bad? S60 on the E90 needs some help. It's painfully obvious they band-aided the OS in there, especially with menu/display issues. The E61i is more convenient to use. I find myself using the front display on the E90 for many tasks. The 'net browsing is great though and I even now have working Colecovision and Nintendo emulators on it with a full complement of games so am happy as a clam. Excitebike on the E90 is SO nice. What will complete it? A sling client. Otherwise it's a very nice device. May not be an S80 and may not do everything the 9500 did but it's a good evolution of the E series.

EDIT: It sure as hell isn't a PDA though. It can do some PDA-like things, but it's still Series 60. And as for touch screens... the HTC Touch is NOT a solution.
