Like I said, the CSI told me it was a FAA rule. So I believed him, sue me. And skylady, AFAIK, is not a UA f/a.
So if you want glass, there will be issues. ALL will need to be picked up prior to PUSHBACK, so no sipping during taxi like you can now with plastic. Also, if UA has to add double the glassware, expect something else has to go out of the galley. Not sure what that would be.
