I think the issue of elite boarding and the elite access line are getting confused here. Alaska has an elite boarding line that is intended ONLY (as the sign says) for first class and AS MVP Gold. AS MVP and partner elites (including AA) can board early (after first class and MVP Gold) but use the regular boarding line.
I'm not sure that's quite what's happening here... I think the confusion is between the unpublished benefit of first class check-in which is extended by many AS agents to AA elites, versus the systemic, stated policy of allowing AA (and other partner) elites to board with MVPs and row 6.
