Why are you using QF to book the DONE4? AA much less fuel surcharges.
Also including South America, North America and SWP will require a DONE5 (since Europe and either Africa or Asia must be included).

Using QF to book as I probably don't know any better ~ not yet a member of AA's FF scheme. I guess from what you say better to book via AA ~ does that require a call to their rez centre in the US? If so, is there a handy number for that?
Re the DONE4 / 5, I can only offer the same defence, I'm afraid. However, I take your point ~ I was originally planning a DONE4 as no real need to go to US, but then thought that I could route via there to Europe if it is worthwhile.
