I went to our local Starbux around 6:00 PM on a Friday night. I asked for a decaf iced coffee. I was told they didn't have decaf iced coffee after 11:00 AM. I asked how long it would take to brew a pot of decaf and was told it was against corporate rules.
So I ordered a cup of hot coffee to throw at the barrista. kidding.
I was able to talk her into brewing the decaf, but she insisted it wasn't decaf iced coffee, it was decaf over ice. I guess the iced coffee is some special brew, but I have no idea why she wouldn't make any. I'm even more confused why they have a rule against decaf after 11:00 AM - that's when I switch to decaf! Am I strange?
Oh, and I always give a phony name and then have to remember what it was when my coffee is ready.
