Is this normal? And if so, is there no-one who flies direct to SK from UK? I think the answer to this is no but it's my first trip so not 100%.
Cheers.
Asiana (a member of Star Alliance) and Korean Airlines (a member of Skyteam) both fly from Heathrow nonstop to Seoul. Asiana in particular seem to have a very good reputation.
The only future Oneworld option I'm aware of that doesn't go via Japan will be Finnair via Helsinki FROM JUNE 2008. You could try Cathay via HKG but that's a rather time consuming detour just to avoid a bit of queuing at Narita.
Another option worth considering would by Japan Airlines travelling via Osaka Kansai - usually a ghost town compared to NRT and a pleasure to use.
