Mr. Yamashita didn't do a good job of researching all his points. That is clear.
The Boeing 717 Heavy MX is done here because they'd have to remove seats and put in ferry tanks for them to make it outside Hawaii.

Where in Mr. Dunkerley's letter does it say people have the option of separation package or working in another area
at the same pay? You think they'll give one of their top IT guys 75k+(?) to throw bags/be a GA?
Hard to find a community event not sponsored by HA? How about this past weekends Keiki Hula Competition? (IMO, Alohas response to HA's sponsorship of Merrie Monarch)
Did Dunkerley state that they didn't slash pay of it's employees. Isn't that exactly what they did to pilots/FAs at the onset(or before) bankruptcy? Or is he not calling it that because those employees agreed to it to help/"save" the company?? (By asking the union for concessions) You say potato, I say pay cut.
I think the main issue for some of us is that outsourcing the phone center has already negatively impacted customer service. I have no backup as to whether IT outsourcing will or won't affect cust. service, but I suspect it's possible.
It appears to me that Mr. Yamashita did some
homework, albeit some incorrectly(or without knowing where previous 767 MX was performed).
Suggesting he put the beer down is unnecessary. Why harp on yamashita using the same counter statement regarding 767 MX that dunkerley did?
