ORD B has moving walkways, but only from about B11 to B15. The B concourse is probably narrower than it should be, but you also have to consider the amount of traffic coming into and out of the B concourse from security checkpoints. Really couldn't fit in sidewalks there if they wanted to, so Ted gets the benefit. When they built T1, they had to squeeze a lot of gates into a limited amount of space.
It is interesting to see how T1 has evolved over time.. when T1 opened, the "Ted gates" had no jetways and were used for the UX flights -- all of them, I believe. That was actually ahead of its time, although not far enough. T2 was pretty much abandoned and now it has come back to life -- arguably too much life with all the UX flights and not enough capacity in the gate areas (where you once has a 727 every couple hours, you now have up to four RJs departing every hour). Moving UX flights over to the low number C gates is an interesting change as well. I'm kinda surprised that they didn't move Ted down there and put the Ted gates back to UX use. But maybe the UA folks at ORD are ashamed of Ted and want him to stay out of their way.
T2 doesn't have moving sidewalks -- mainly because it is pretty much the same design as it was in the 1960's, when there was no plan for wide concourses back then. The cosmetic changes to T2 have brightened the place up, but ORD badly needs a well-designed regional terminal with better access to the main concourses. A tunnel from C1 to F12 would help a lot.
LHR is by far the absolute worst "design" (and I use that term very loosely) for any airport that I have ever seen. I have hopes that during my lifetime I might actually see the experience from a UA flyer's perspective improve.
IAD is the most awful US airport I have been in. The UA terminal reeks of "temporary", but I know that isn't the case. It is a shame that the gateway for much of the world to the nation's capitol is a dump.
DEN really is nice. It is big, no question about it -- and big means you're going to have some connections at the other end of the world, and others at the next gate over. I always build a lot of time into connections and take advantage of the RCCs and the shopping.
