I'm normally against the how-much-compensation philosophy, but in this case:
- The hotel is making money (from the film), and
- The hotel is inconveniencing its guests as a direct consequence, and
- (Presumably), guests were not given advance warning so they could make alternative plans, nor does is hotel offering anything
In such a case, they're making money off the film crew at the expense of guest's quality of life, so it seems appropriate to ask.
