How busy is security likely to be between 0500-0600 on Monday? I've never waited more than 10 mins personally, but then I've never been through NCL at such an unspeakable hour.
I plan to arrive (with BP in hand, no luggage) on the first Metro at 0538 for an 0600 flight. Am I insane? The other option is to arrive by cab at 0520ish.
I agree with others - don't risk it. At this time of year security is stuffed full of Geordies off to contract skin cancer in Benidorm and hen/stag parties off to trash Prague. Even though they are united by a common desire to get to the bar for a pint (yep, ven at 5:30 am), the concept of being prepared for a security check is far too complex for them. 30 mins if you're lucky, which gives you time to ponder: 1.how it can be that only 2 of the 5 X-ray machines are working; and 2. how the people surrounding you in the queue can actually represent the pinacle of 3 billion years of evolution.
You might be more lucky in the future though - the airport are planning to introduce a pay to use fast track lane through security. £3.50 is the proposed tariff.
