Know that you as an individual making a relatively small exchange for Euros are not going to come close to the rate reported as the the bank-to-bank or large-scale trade rate. The only way we mere mortals come close to that is with our credit card charges and ATM withdrawals when the banks involved are generous in these transactions and do not charge large extra fees. But a 1 or 2% fee on top of the bank-to-bank rate is not a bad deal compared to the typical small-scale exchange rate for cash.
