The ATM is the best way to go. Hands down.

If you can get an ATM account at a Credit Union or small bank..you may be able to avoid the fee.
I use ATM's all the time and would not do it any other way. You do not have to try to figure out how much you will need before you leave home and can just get what you need as you go along.

Just be sure you have a 4 digit pin number and that you notify your bank/credit union that you will be traveling and using the card. Otherwise, it may be shut off by the security department.
