So I put the flight on hold. The confirmation screen "Your Reservation is Held" shows H class and "Upgrade Elite Y fare". The price is the H fare -5%. When I look at the reservation status page the Upgrade Elite disappears

Is it possible to use the 5% discount on Y fares if lower fare classes are available? I can't seem to figure it out.
