Perhaps the runway at Calgary is quite short (or the pilot just wanted to get to the gate ASAP), but we braked rather sharply on touchdown and reverse thrust was applied almost immediately.
Calgary actually has a very long runway...12,675 feet...but there is an exit taxiway (when landing from the north) that many pilots try to brake for and that exit makes for a much shorter/quicker taxi to the terminal.
Great trip report...too bad you were not lucky enough to get an XM plane...maybe on the way back!
