What are others experiences with carry-on dogs in the F cabin? I recently had a very bad experience with a dog in a carry on bag stowed directly under my seat on a 4 hour flight (757-200). Does UA really expect that there will be no noise, smell etc.? I have no issue with dogs, (I have been an owner in the past) but think some rules need serious re-examination.

Also, the same trip, there was a man with a carry on dog in the DEN RCC that was barking loudly and continuously. The owner was sitting there calmly and unconcerned. I thought that the staff would certainly say something. They did - one staff member came over to play with the dog and said nothing at all about the noise.
