JL is really good about reserving meals. Even in Y. Expect an FA to confirm your meal choice before the doors close. (I'm assuming so they can correct it if need be.) If you reserve a meal choice such as vegetarian they'll discretely place a small sticker on the top of your seat alerting the FAs not to offer you anything that would offend your pallet.
