We were, unfortunately, caught in the closure of the Circle line last weekend.
We got into Paddington from Bath, and were very excited that we just had
to lug our luggage onto the circle line and have to just endure the one stop
to Blackfriars. Unfortunately, it was closed. It was quite a bit of a hassle,
with the luggage and switching on several lines. Then, we ended up walking to the hotel. It took us almost two hours. Talk about inconvenient.
