This is the way I always do it, but I'm usually travelling by myself.

The hotel is perfect for me because my customer is only 2 stops away on the Shinkansen and we usually go out for dinner in Sannomiya. I usually walk to Sannomiya from the hotel. Its downhill all the way. I usually walk back too unless I've had a few to many nama-chu.

The hotel was only purchased by Crowne Plaza about December, 2006. Before then it was the Shinkobe Oriental Hotel. I haven't noticed any differences since Crowne Plaza took over.
