Be careful with the villa sizes. Some resorts include the outdoor deck area and some do not. I know the FS villa sizes given on their website are just for interior area, but I'm not so sure of Coca Palm.

Having said that and having been to the Maldives - if I had to choose between an overwater villa with pool and one without for around the same amount of money I would go with the one with pool every time.

The ocean is great to swim in, but you never know what you are going to get. The bit of ocean in front of your villa might be rocky or contain a lot of coral or just not be very deep or too deep. With a pool you get the best of both worlds.

I've actually been looking at the new Coca Palm and the rooms do look fantastic. You will not get FS level service at Coca Palm, but I think that for the price, the villas there are a good deal.

I seem to remember seeing a resort map of Coca Palm somewhere, but I cannot remember where. You might want to contact the resort and ask them if they can send you one.
