I think they should definetely remain transferrable. I am a 1k and often don't have to use my certs for the Shuttle, however it is nice to be able to give them to my parnter who is only Premier and therefore we don't have to buy any. The rules still apply, so it is not like a non-status person can upgrade, unless they are on full-fare which is often unlikely.
